Thermosetting resin laminates

The phenolic resin which was invented by a Belgian-born American chemist Baekeland has been under development for over 100 years. It is still widely used as an industrial material with excellent cost-performance due to its well-balanced performance such as electrical insulation, strength, and heat resistance. Laminated sheets are made from reinforcement materials such as paper or cloth. Depending on the thickness, multiple sheets are stacked (laminated), and by heating and pressurizing with a press machine, it is completely cured and completed. Risho Kogyo’s phenolic resin laminated sheet (Risholite) is also a long traditional material. With its continuous research activity and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, The products have proved their reliable quality and cost competitiveness.

Properties:

– Good resistance to chemical solvents, oil resistance – High mechanical and dielectric properties against acid corrosion – Can be used in damp environments.
